information from our users at any points on our Web site unless the user
submits information of their choice to our staff through this site. When
the user submits information on their own, it is held in strict confidence
and is not shared with anyone outside of the The WNY Network

Information Use
Profile
We do not collect or store any information on users through cookies, log
files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create a profile of our users.

we do not retain individual user information that details their viewing
preferences. Consequently, there is no collected information on our website
tied to the users that personally identifies information about them.

broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
We do not employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web

of Web users. The main difference between the two is that clear gifs are
invisible on the page and are much smaller, about the size of the period
at the end of this sentence. We do not use clear gifs in any way. In addition,
we do not use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails
have been opened by the recipients.
Service Announcements
Someday there may be an occasion that necissitates sending out a strictly
service-related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily
suspended for maintenance we might send users an email if they have given
their email address to our office. Users may always opt-out of these
communications by simply informomg our office that they do not wish to
receive such announcements through regular E-mail.. However, any such
communication about notifications of service disruption would not be
promotional in nature.
